Pre-nups: Gotta Have One!

They're a thing for me.

No, I don't believe in divorce.
Yes I believe marriage is forever.

But things happen.

A child gets cancer and dies and your marriage doesn't survive it.
Someone changes their stance on a core belief.
Someone cheats.

All I know is that anything is possible.
And I want a pre-nup.

Let me be more clear.
I won't get married without a pre-nup.
One caveat: This does no apply if we make approximately the same amount cause then no one is getting anything any damn way.

Because I love you but the fact of the matter is I'm not going to give you my money for the rest of my life if you don't want to be with me any more.

You divorce me, you divorce my money.
Its that simple.

You weren't in gross lab until 4 am, you took exactly zero 24 hour calls, you missed no holidays or special occasions for the sake of your education or patients, you took no board exams, you made no sacrifices of your own sanity for the sake of medicine, and you get ZERO of the money associated with that of you divorce me.
And I'm petty...I'm petty enough to ask to take a huge pay cut just to avoid having to give you money. And that'll cause our kids to suffer because I won't be making the money required to give them money.

So.....sign this pre-nup so I can have the peace of mind that you won't take what doesn't belong to you if you decide to leave me.

If not....that's cool. Honesty Moment: I'd never really thought anyone would truly love me enough and want to be with me enough to actually marry me anyway. My entire life is planned out as if no one ever will so I'm good!
