Right on in....

She tells me things about who I am that I don't realize.

She's counseled me through some of the tough spots of getting this PhD.

If you were to trace the path that leads to who I am right now, meeting her was a critical juncture.

I wouldn't be able to wear these bars had it not been for her.

She's demonstrated the importance of reaching back and helping others do what I've done.

She changed my life because she opened it up.

She calls me hers. I belong to her.

I'm incredibly proud to announce that my mentor has been selected unanimously by the search committee at Duke University to become the Dean of Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. They said she was "without peer." I could have told them that! :-)

She is my most trusted advisor.

Months ago the Lord gave me a scripture about her that speaks to this new place in her life.  I blogged about it. She's walking right on into her destiny and its so beautiful to see how God has ordered her steps.

I love you.
