Love Life?

That's the question my good friend from grad school asked me. We hadn't talked in forever. The last time I saw her was the week I defended my PhD.

She's since moved back to Kansas and gotten herself a real job.
After at least a year of not talking she asked me that question about 10 text messages in.

I was completely honest. You see she'd been around right after I took my love to the mountains and as she would say "wooed her properly." Me and Andrea go way back to her being the only other American in my lab.

Anyway I told her that the girl I love and I hadn't spoken in 1.5 years...that every now and again I listen to a couple of voicemails I have from her but besides that I haven't heard her voice since before medical school started.

I also told her that I still believe we'll be together and even though Andrea's not religious she said something to me that was a breath of fresh air.

She said she believed too.

I asked her why.
She said "I have faith in you and you see something great in her."

I went on to tell her that my offer to my love still stands.
That I'd give her another ring and a baby whenever she was ready. I'm all in.  <--- Andrea thinks that's an offer she can't refuse lol

Anyway, it was nice to have someone just believe.
Despite what it looks like she just believes.
She's got the history, I updated her about what's happened and she still was like
"Yup, she'll be with you one day."

Oh...one day Jesus.
