NMAAHC

This is an experience. I went with my classmates and we were TI-RED after and yes, I mean emotionally.

Had to get a shot of Nebraska which had a max census of slaves of 10. They actually outlawed slavery like 6 years after becoming Nebraska.

A brick from my Alma Mater and my future Alma Mater.

Oh how this concept has been woven throughout my education. You are the talented tenth!

This right here!

The dress Momma O wore on her last episode. Yes I cried when it aired. Judge away. Oprah had been on my whole freaking life when it went off.

I am my ancestor's wildest dreams.

This is the amazing place they send you to after the Emmett Till exhibit where his original casket is located. They're also playing music in there such as Precious Lord, Take my Hand and yes there are lots of tears. There's an attendant stationed there to tell you what you're about to see and to also direct you to go to the reflections room (pictured above) afterwards to get your mind back together. They have this running video of his mother talking about her decision to show the world what happened to her son. Its as heavy as it sounds like it is.

The Historical portion of the basement which starts in Africa, ends with Barack Obama.
Its powerful.
Literally, started from the bottom, now we're here.
