On Your Behalf

When I went to Midwinter Meeting as a teenager they had this thing called Intercessory Prayer.
It was held at like 7 am.

I saw it on the program and I decided I was going.
I didn't tell anyone, I just showed up.

And it was the mothers of the church.
And they prayed over me and for me like no other experience I've ever had.

That's when I came to know what it meant to be an intercessor.
That's when I fell in love with intercessory prayer.

And this is the after.
This is what I look like the morning after intercessory prayer.
And yes that's as open as my eyes get.
Its the most intense spiritual workout that I know of.
Its no joke.

When I got off the floor last night I couldn't straighten my legs.
I just crawled into bed.
This is the work.
This is what my prayer life looks like sometimes.
This is what the veil being torn entitles us to.
This is a privilege.
