Just yesterday a dear friend of mine told me how inspired she is by the way I love.
(I turned beet red. Girl why is you WATCHING me?!?!?!)
She said she'd never seen such an example of Godly love in a same sex relationship and that the way I love is from a God place and not a lust place and that's so rare to see, especially in the LGBT community.
(I reminded her that there is lust, but I'm very clear about when its appropriate to display that...don't get the game confused cause listen...she's fine as the day is long and I have eyes!)
She said to see a celibate lesbian really go there with their faith and their sexuality was refreshing and it makes her want to do better in her own relationships.
I was floored. Ummmm girl what? Yes that is correct. That's exactly how I love her because I love her according to how God sees her, but I had no idea you were watching.
Listen, I'm just out here living and loving. I'm glad it moves y'all. I just think its so important to let your faith inform your sexual expression and that the foundation and commitment required to hold the weight of sexual expression has to be rooted in God. If y'all didn't know, I firmly believe sex is a form of worship in the right context and I can't wait for that but until then let me walk this love thing out righteously.
