Date a Reader

So I read this article about myself and I was just like OMG that's MEEEEEEE!

Want to hear some excerpts?

"Finding someone who reads is like dating a thousand souls. Its gaining the experiences they've gained from everything they've ever read and the wisdom that comes with those experiences. If like dating a professor, a romantic, and an explorer."

Yo.....I'm totally like this. I pull from everywhere when I'm in love. A book I read in the 7th grade about the Holocaust and a quote I saw on Pinterest. I'm constantly finding source material from which to illuminate my feels. And if I can't....I create the material. I'm desperately romantic but I'm also interested in probing what it means to be in love, how deep does devotion go, what does it mean and how do you walk out cherishing someone. Yea, professor, romantic, explorer sums that up nicely!

"They will write you letters and texts in verse. They are verbose but not in the obnoxious way. They do no merely answer questions and give statements, but counter with deep thoughts and profound theories. They will enrapture you with their knowledge of words and ideas."

I've been told that I'm often deep. I don't think that's true but its the perception. I think a lot. I read a lot. I spend most of my time alone so I'm constantly processing and reprocessing. So yea....that thing that was said yesterday is still tumbling around in my mind and I might ask you a question about it tomorrow.
I'm the consummate letter writer. I think words are powerful. I think written words are even more so. The thing about writing letters is that they continue to speak long after you've stopped talking. People can return to letters and remind themselves of what's true. I also think the writer gets to let go of some emotional steam through writing. I often can't contain all the feelings I have and I write so I don't have to keep them inside.
