About Last Night....

Last night was a ride do you hear me? I'm about to let y'all know exactly why I haven't blogged my devotional.

Divorce.

Last night I was on the phone talking to my threeway friends and I got a strange call. My baby momma (more about that later) called me and said "Can you come home?"

Now.....is later. My baby momma is actually a friend. She had a baby late last year and I keep him a lot. He's my little tink tink. Literally. I've watched him over night float. Nothing else feels like co-sleeping with 10 week old. And nothing bonds you like those middle of the night feedings. He loves me....as long as I wear a low cut top cause these boobs are his let him tell it! The thing is I'm with her baby so much that I colloquially refer to her as my baby momma.

Let me be clear: My actually baby momma ain't had my babies yet. That's still something I'm praying and believing for. And she won't be my baby momma. She'll be my wife. <--Bank check!

So I'm at K&W and I'm thinking "baby was crying in background so I'm sure she just wants me to come home to watch this baby so she can right these notes." I'm back on the phone with my threeway boys, I get my turnip greens and I get in the car. I'm on my way back and I get another phone call "He called the police. When will you be here?"

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Yes, the police were called. The PO-PO!

That first phone call? That was after he'd tried to snatch the baby from my friend. That's why baby was hysterical. That was after a locked door had been busted through.

And the 2nd phone call? That was after she tried to leave and told him she was taking the baby. He replied with "You're not taking my son. You and your lesbian lover (that's me) aren't running away with my son!" He called the police because he thought the police could prevent my friend from taking the baby that came out of her vagina. He's a non-thinker.

Three things: 1. My friend has NEVER EVER cheated. She believed deeply in her vows and took them very seriously.
2. We aren't lovers. She's known me since before I was legal. She's known me the entire time I've been figuring out this gay thing. She's supported that and my own dreams of having a wife.
3. She's not gay.

My personal observations of him throwing this "lesbian lovers" thing around which he's said a few times is this: You're just mad I'm a better partner to your wife than you are. And guess what? I am. You want to know why? Because I'm a better person than you are. I honor my promises. I'm duty driven. I show up when I say I'm going to. I also have a very real grasp on how hard physicians work. I've had practice being a good partner and I've got references to prove it. Additionally, there's a girl I want all of this with and it ain't your wife!

Goals....and heartfelt prayers for my little Black lesbian self!

So anyway....I'm there and so is the police. The police wanted to take his side. In my head I'm thinking "These two high school graduates!" <---Yes that was shade. I don't do that often but sometimes....I just can't and I get petty.

Shade monster

The police very clearly explains that both parents have the right to take the child anywhere they want. When my friend makes it clear she ain't staying, she asks him if there's anywhere he can go for the night instead of putting his wife and child out? He says nothing. My friend highlights that he pays no bills but there's nothing she can do legally to compel him to leave. Additionally, even though he wants to keep the baby, my friend highlights that he has to go to work at like 3 am and the police is like "soooo how you going to keep the baby? You're not." During all this time I've taken tink tink from my friend and put my very sleepy baby boy to bed and started packing up all my stuff and the baby's stuff. My friend has officially decided on separation and was telling the police. I'm here for ALL OF THAT! ALLADAT do you hear me?!?!?!? ALL!

So the police leave and so does he briefly. In that time we photograph all her stuff cause we are leaving and she packs a bag. When he comes back in I see him and slide my behind right back in the room with the sleeping baby and right next to the crib. Cause nope! He'd already snatched that baby once that night and I wasn't having it with my little tink tink! He asked me to step aside and I said he'd have to ask my friend. She approved but watched him with the baby while I packed the car. When he was done, we left!

We went to her friends and retold this story then we checked into a hotel. Her aunt came down today to watch tink tink because I had to tutor my big boy back home and we weren't giving the baby back to his dad. Nope. The only other option would have been for me to bring the baby back to my house which is an hour away. So yea aunt came, I dropped off the little one, and I got out of dodge.

That was my last two days. Jesus!
